Our Favorite Things to Do in Downtown Bridgeport
This is our current list of faves, but it changes with the weather and general vibe. Right now, we’re longing for sunshine, bike rides, good food, loud music, adult beverages, and more.
 

1. Ride to Seaside Park
Better weather is coming. We swear. A quick bike ride gets you to 325 acres of shoreline, beaches, and one of the best sunset spots in Connecticut. Soundview residents can grab a cruiser from the onsite fleet of single speed bikes.

 

2. Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater
Walk to this amazing venue from Soundview in under 10 mins. Enjoy concerts all summer, with major touring artists across all genres. Season starts May 15th.

 

3. 29 Markle
All hail Chef Damon and his crew. In our opinion, this is the best restaurant in CT. Also happens to be right next door to Soundview. The cuisine and vibes are elevated, intimate, and perfect for a night out.

 

4. Berlinetta Brewing
Best German-inspired beers around, plus a dynamite collection of records for sale, plus a rotation of impressive DJ’s, plus bocce courts. Not to be missed.

 

5. Downtown Farmers Market
Starting Thursdays later this spring. Fresh produce, local vendors, and an easy weekly ritual, right in the heart of the city.

 

6. Historic Arcade Mall
This building will blow your mind. Not kidding. Check out the nearby murals, food spots, small businesses, and energy.

 

7. McLevy Green
Downtown’s central gathering space for events, live music, farmers’ markets, and everyday city life. Challenge someone to a game of chess.

 

8. Total Mortgage Arena
From hockey to concerts, big events are always right nearby.

 

9. Housatonic Museum
Yes, we have a amazing modern art gallery, right around the corner from Soundview. From student works, to global collaborations and a strong permanent collection, the Housatonic Museum will inspire.

 

10. Skateport
Dust off those old skates or rent new ones and get ready to make some turns, strut your stuff and maybe even shoot the duck.
